Good morning Cardinal Parents/Guardians,
As you begin preparation for the upcoming 2023-24 school year, we wanted to inform you of some exciting news from our food service department. The district plans to offer free breakfast and free lunch to the students of Earlham for the first semester of the 2023-24 school year! There is potential this will continue into the 2nd semester (Jan. 15 through the end of the school year) so the school board will revisit free breakfast and lunch at the Nov. 8th school board meeting and determine then if it will continue through the end of the school year. By visiting the topic at the November meeting, there will be time to communicate the decision out to parents prior to the start of the 2nd Semester.
Each day students will still scan their ID cards when they pass through the lunch line (or check in with Deb for lower grade levels) so we can document for our record keeping purposes. This will also allow us to monitor student participation in the lunch program. The goal for the food service program is to continue to grow the variety and offer foods our students enjoy

Applies to ALL K-12 students of Earlham School District

Breakfast and Lunch applies to one serving of the scheduled main course, side, fruit, vegetable and milk/juice each day.

Extras will still be available for purchase for all students.

A-la-carte will still be available for purchase for grades 6-12.

If your family qualifies for free and reduced, please continue to fill out the necessary paperwork. There are additional benefits beyond free and reduced meals.
